AWARDS
Special recognition goes to Lee, who wins the award for Best Choice
of Clips. Both of her clips--from STRANGER THAN PARADISE and BREAKING
THE WAVES--were brief, engaging, and had a beginning, middle, and end,
despite being plucked completely out of each film's context.
The award for Best Single Clip goes to Deirdre, who brought a letterboxed
version of the wonderfully preposterous "A Secretary is Not a Toy"
from HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
Finally, the award for Best What the Hell Was That? Clip has to
go to Mike, for that excerpt of Guy Maddin's CAREFUL.
